Friends of the Jamaica Plain Branch Library

The Friends of the Jamaica Plain Library Branch organized in 1952, and was the first group in the Boston Public Library system. We are a group of people who love libraries and all the enrichment they bring to our community.

• We are a non-profit organization 501(c)(3)
• We plan and sponsor FREE educational programs and entertainment for the JP community.
• We raise funds to purchase and lend FREE museum passes to the JP community
• We raise funds to purchase books, DVDs, CDs, library materials and supplies.
• We strongly support a renovation and expansion of the JP Branch Library in order to better serve the needs of the JP community.
